History
Qatar Airways is the official airline of the State of Qatar. It began in 1994 as a small airline which mainly serviced local routes and has since grown to become one of the largest worldwide, and the most luxurious. The airline secured its 100th airplane in 2011 and the successful luxury airline has since been awarded many of the industries most prestigious accolades.
In 2009, Qatar Airways began one of the longest non stop flights worldwide with a trip from Doha to Houston, USA taking 16 hours!
