The show depicts the lives of two young men that arrive at a country estate, fresh out of university: one is the son of the landowner and the other a bright and charismatic radical, declaring a dangerous new philosophy. However, their warm welcome chills as the new house guest attacks all of the values of his hosts, and brings the tensions between one generation and the next to the surface.

Over the course of an entire summer, different political morals are tested by filial duty especially with the arrival of Anna, who is a mysterious visitor whose presence stirs the mood and threatens a good friendship.
